Flanged globe valve
Flanged Globe Valve
Introduction of Flanged Globe Valve
As its name implies, this valve is a globe valve with flanged end connections. It conforms to several standards, including ANSI, EN, and DIN among others. A flanged connection is one of the most common among valves in general. It makes the installation and removal of the globe valve easier and faster as it does not require special machining.
To achieve a tight seal, a gasket is placed between the flanges. Depending on the materials of the pipes and the nature of the operation, the gasket can be made from metal, non-metal, or a combination of both.
It is mostly used for basic throttling and isolation services where pressure drop is not a concern. It is also used as a flow control valve in high-temperature applications.
