Two-piece construction for industrial isolation
In a floating ball valve, the ball is supported by the seats and can move slightly in response to line pressure. The resulting seat load is one of the factors considered when reviewing sealing, operating torque and service suitability. The two-piece body provides a separate body and end connection section, creating a compact construction that can be specified with different bore, material, connection and operator requirements.
This valve can be considered for liquid or gas isolation duties when the selected body, trim, seats and seals are compatible with the process medium and operating conditions. Full-bore and reduced-bore routes are listed, while flanged, welded and threaded connection options should be confirmed against the applicable piping specification.
Product suitability cannot be determined from valve size and pressure class alone. Temperature, media chemistry, solids content, flow direction, cycling frequency, required shutoff performance, actuation and document scope can all affect the final configuration.
